LNG with no signature.

Maybe a stupid question. But is it possible to find out wich production nr from 1 -777 a LNG has if the letters are worn off from the back of the guitar or from the backplate ?

Re: LNG with no signature.

The overseas models were only signed on the trem cavity cover. So if the cover has been lost or is simply not on the guitar, there would be no number on it. Many people keep those covers off the guitar so that the signature doesn't wear out.

The serial numbers on the neck plates don't usually match. For example my guitar is #355 but the serial number is 870336. It would take a lot to wear off the serial number since they're etched into the plate.

Thanks. So if the (signed) trem cavity cover is lost, it's not possible to be 100% shure of the number from 1 - 777

Re: LNG with no signature.

Probably not. You could get an estimate of the range by looking at the serial number.
