Making my return to the land of JS's - courtesy of the JS90

Hey folks... I probably haven't discussed any JS guitars in a couple years (remember the days when there didn't used to be a dedicated JS forum? sigh...). I recently picked up a JS90 and am waiting for it to arrive magically on my doorstep.

I'm pretty excited about this guitar... I think it'll be pretty different compared to the myriad of RG-variants I have sitting around the house. It can keep my Jem90 and JPM90 company when I'm at work.

I never really had much luck with the JS1000 first time around... I had one a few years ago that would not stay in tune no matter what I did, so I took it back to GC to trade for another JS1000 that wasn't much better about staying in tune. I think I ended up trading the second JS1000 for a USRG30. Hopefully I won't have so many problems with the 90th!

Anyway, for those of you who have 90th's, what's your favorite thing about them? Is the paint as cool in person as it looks in pictures?

give me the green-blue-purple any time

I think by what I've seen/ heard its quiet an underated guitar. It doesnt seenm to have the atraction the other 90's have. But it is awesome
It grows on you the more you play it, I think.

Now there is one thing. Its funny u mention the tuning, cause I have to retune several times when i take it to rehearsal. Now this is strange cause the JPMP3 has a lot more wear and stays in tune under the same abuse very well.
The JS is in much better nick, and therefore I would think the trem posts and edges and all that dont need replacing. I dunno.(maybe I forgot to tighten the set screws? Must check when I get home :biggrin

Post some pics when you get her please

Finally! The JS90 arrived yesterday, and it TOTALLY KICKS A$$!

As far as I can remember, it doesn't feel or sound drastically different from my ol' JS1000, but it looks totally sweet. The color changing paint is awesome... it has a lot more variation than most color changing paints and I actually like all of the colors that it shifts between.

Though I've never played a Chromeboy or a Crystal Planet, I'm thinking that the JS90 is where the most bang for the buck is in the JS line. It's made me a believer in the JS guitars, which took a decent amount of convincing after some of my JS1000 problems.

Julio-- I'll post some pics in a few days. I loaned out my digital camera and I need to harass the person who's borrowing it.
