Money Talks? - Legacy One Guitars

About a year ago there was a big rift over a damaged, "repaired, and altered 777LNG ( and I use the model name loosely) being sold on **** by a Juan Castillo, who had also become a member here to defend himself regarding the sale of item:

http://www.jemsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42124

This apparently ended with the member being banned and exiled as fraudulent. Now we see the same member (Juan Castillo) is a member and site sponsor, and offering replacement services (necks, bodies, etc) as Legacy One Guitars.

My question is, what's going on here? Why is a proven fraudulent seller now conducting business on this site with the site owner's approval?

But I trust that everyone is going to play nicely and that the discussion will remain civil?

Please think before you post on this topic, ladies and gentlemen.

Sometimes you have to give people a chance to redeem themselves. We've all done dumb things at least once before and learned our lesson. Maybe he has too.

But if he's a repeat offender it's hard to look past that, but everyone deserves at least a 2nd chance.

Re: Money Talks? - Legacy One Guitars

Some people already ordered his stuff and we should know in a few weeks how things went. Everyone is entitled to make mistakes, he paid his dues by not being here for quite a while, and hopfully making up for it by providing the guitar community with quality work for low costs with fast turn arounds.

There was a big thing when SIMS (US) joined the forums, that he was just ripping off the origional SIMS from England, and that he had bad e-bay accounts, and he was a bad painter etc etc blah blah, and that all turned out to be a steaming load of BS. So before you judge on past actions and issues of someone, just give him a chance, and let how he conducts himself from now on, be his own judge, jury and executioner.

I second that! As much as I hated how he handled himself in the past he does deserve the benefit of the doubt. I reckon Glen would've not accepted him back as a sponsor and a member of the community if he felt that Juan didn't deserve a second chance.

Re: Money Talks? - Legacy One Guitars

Let us see what Glen says about it and the Vendor. A formal introduction could clear everything up.

Regards

Re: Money Talks? - Legacy One Guitars

He wasnt 'proven' with the LNG and the RG/JEMs were only critisesed of being overpriced not misrepresented.
Either way he's good at what he does.

Well said.

If a vendor proves to be unreliable, it's safe to say they won't last long as vendor. In the meantime dozens of transactions are made daily here via classifieds and many more from auction by visitors and members of jemsite so it is obvious that care and attention is needed when buying anything more than a short drive away. That goes without saying in 2006.

I don't invision any vendor taking liberties with site members as the backlash would be significant and widespread.

I have a less restrictive policy for cost reasons and common sense... we've had problems and delays with vendors who are good guys (LGM) and other problems with people who never sponsored jemsite who we never expected problems with (ATD). .. glen
