So my wife came in, sat on my lap (get your heads out of the gutters boys) and said to me that she knows I have wanted a JEM 7VWH ever since I played one a few years ago.

For Fathers Day, or because we are in a financial position to do so and we both feel awesome about getting rid of credit cards, she bought me a dream guitar!!!!

What a woman!!!!!! She said she has wanted to buy me something like this for a long time but I'm not cheap.

I have to go pick it up this weekend. Sadly, she did not get it from Rich but nobody's perfect and I'm certainly not going to tell her no.

Awesome! My wife let me buy a Jem once........then she claimed it for herself. When I got my RG920 from Rich.......my daughter claimed it. Now you guys know why I keep a bunch of Ibbies around...

Mine bought me a 7BSB! (and she had let me buy a huge amount of other guitars, amps, pedals and rack gear).

Yeah, I always choose the wife, so when I'm in a mood to buy a guitar she's cool with it, plus I get the sex too!

So it's not a real Ibanez then?

Well, the purchase is held off until end of July so we can pay cash and buy it from Rich I think. She was going to buy it from Sam Ash but they would have to order it and could not be sure of what trem I was going to get, they would not reorder another one from Ibanez if it was a Edge Pro and I want the Edge. They doubted that the warehouse people could even point to the trem, let alone tell what is the EP and the OE. Most of the surrounding state store didn't have one and if the one I found that did, it was an EP version. 3 of the guys I talked to didn't know they even made a change or what trem came on them cuz they dont sell a lot of them. Not the best way of doing business. They missed a sale.

At least if I buy from Rich, I get s real Ibanez that I know I want instead of a crapshoot.

I'm very envious. congrats on the great wife, great guitar (soon) and getting rid of the credit cards!

My wife never bought a guitar nor would she know what to get, but luckily she also doesn't care if i dump 5k on a LP or PRS

I just have to chime in about the huge reward of finding the right woman. My wife is the same kind of girl and supports all of crazy endeavors. You are one of the us lucky few that chose wisely and I hope you treat her with the same love and devotion and then some multiplied ten-fold. Pics of the new wood and strings please!
