Re: Most expensive JS100 ever!!

crazy - you can get a new JS-100 from MF for $799 so I guess that makes the autograph worth over $1,000...I like Joe and everything but that's crazy...

Re: Most expensive JS100 ever!!

Yeah, that's insane. It would be one thing if Joe's autograph were rare, but from what I gather he's pretty good about signing stuff. His signature should add, what, $100 tops?

Re: Most expensive JS100 ever!!

Incredible!!

I just bought a JS100 two days ago (I was hot for the case, ha ha ha!)
I completely adjusted it and then played for maybe 5 minutes. I couldn't stand no longer!
Mine is made in Korea and geez, the neck sucks and the pickups sound worse than hitting mud covered offroad tires with a stick!

I immediately relisted it for sale. I still expect to end up at least with the case for free, since I got a fairly good price for both, guitar and case.
I'm selling without case, of course! Maybe I can even make 20 or 30 bucks.

Let me just quote Jemsite: JS100 .... stay away from them! END OF QUOTE

Inferior quality, sound even worse! And mine was hardly played at all! I don't wanna see one after gigging for a year or two!!

This was pretty much one of the worst guitars I ever hold in my hands! It's in the top ten of my never-touch-again-list!

That's crazy I love the js100s. I've had both js100 and 1000 and really didn't see many differences between the two other than the frets on the js1000 were different. I guess different strokes for different folks.

Re: Most expensive JS100 ever!!

Maybe it comes with added mojo

'This JS100 is AUTOGRAPHED BY JOE SATRIANI ON THE BACK OF THE HEADSTOCK! HOW COOL IS THAT!!!'

Sounds like desperate sales talk...

Really? Which trem did yours have, a TRS or edge III? And you didnt think it was any different to an edge?

I havent ever had a JS but at some point Im thinking of getting a beater JS100 body and a JS1000 neck and refinishing it and having a go at doing the donnie graphics.

I've had 3 JS100's and have a JS20S. The JS100's all had the Lo-TRSII trem, and my JS20S had the Edge III. Honestly, if you can find one with an Edge III you've got a decent guitar. The Edge III's are light years ahead of the Lo-TRSII. However, I changed the Edge III in my JS20S to a Lo Pro Edge(my all time fav) and in one of my JS100's installed an Original Edge(my second all time fav) trem.

So in my opinion, if you do a pickup swap(which I do to all my guitars) and a trem swap, you'll have a pretty bad ass axe for little cash spent. If you do only one thing to a JS100 make it a trem swap. The AH's pups that they come with aren't bad and can be helped with some capacitor mods or change outs. Also add a High Pass volume filter to the electronics and you've got it made, with a lot more tonal dynamics and range.

Re: Most expensive JS100 ever!!

The Js100 overall is a decent guitar, but the neck is very close to a telecaster neck.
I perfer the OG wizzard neck, the bat is harder for me to play, but over all it's a very decent guitar.
