Congrats man!

It's very hard to find ANY jem here in Holland, and those really are nice. Is that the one that was on gitaarmarkt? When did you contact the owner if that is the case, the ad has been there for over a month...I would love one of those (swirled)

I am the one who got the blue floral pattern last month off gitaarmarkt , that is MY first jem

I don't have it yet haha... The one on gitaarmarkt was sold about the same time you bought you're BFP, (CONGRATS ON THAT ONE) the ad was placed in january, and i contacted the owner after i saw you're post here (about 3 jems being for sale in Holland) I was a few days too late, the VBK ('92) was sold but the ad wasn't removed until 03/10. The one i'm picking up tomorrow was placed 3 days ago on gitaarmarkt. It is a VBK ('89) and I contacted the owner that same evening. I can't let a VBK slip through my fingers twice in one month

I already own an UV7BK ('90) so they should look quite good together

GOT IT !!! It is in real good shape. A few scratches on the back on
small ding on the front and on the lower edge of the front.
The trem setup was terrible... I had to loosen the spring tension
to raise the trem. All saddles were in the same position, (see photo)
so I've got some fine-tuning to do, but when i'm finished it really rocks !!!

A victory for all of us non-JEM owning, JEM-lusting, non-money-having guitarists!!!

It looks very nice

If you've got the oppertunity could you post pics of both your UV and JEM? That's a DEADLY combo you know

I don't know if you're familiar with www.gitaarforum.nl, but there are a lot of Dutch Ibanez enthousiasts out there!

Too bad you have to set it up yourself. My BFP had some kind of warp-tuning (drop C or something like that) Once I had it set up properly I broke a string in no-time I am still working on it I removed the scratchplate and I still have to put the original PAFpro back in. The guy who sold her had a SD full-shred in it, but I have already found an open spot for that one.

Customizing is my new hobby since I am flat out broke

Sure, I just took this pictures, one with de UV and JEM
and the other one with my thirth Ibbie (RG550BK)
The setup is pretty much completed, it plays smooth
I removed the scratchplate as well, just to inspect
the inside... all original... I suspect its hardly played
there's almost no fret wear and the trem looks better
than the trem on my RG (2000)
(the photo's are a little dark, sorry)

Hi, these are my most beautiful Ibbies apart from mu BFP. I haven't had the oppertunity to pic her yet, but these are my PGM90HAM and RG2027X. Both are KILLER!

It's nice to see more enthousiasts in the Randstad

congrats! I got my VWH just last friday... and even though this is off topic for this thread I would ask you a favor to help concerning another thread in the PU&wiring forum:
could you please take a close look at your single-coil pickup and tell us which of the polepieces stick how far out? (on mine the one for the D was not sticking out at all and i was wondering if that's how it's supposed to be)

cheers

Lots of guitars from fender and aftermarket dimarzios have staggered pole peices, but its usually the b string pole peice that isnt sticking out. Correc tme if Im wrong guys but cant these be readjusted?
