MY FIRST JEM 7VWH

i will be picking up my first jem 7vwh tonight! excited. i have owned many a jem but after selling and buying, and selling again, i will be owning only 2.... the DNA and the 7vwh. i don't think i really need anything else. i will actually miss my 7dbk cuz of the tone, but i can use the DNA in the studio...same pickups.

ya know, i have never even played the 7vwh but since it is one of the most talked about, and has the ebony board (which i love), i think i'll dig it!

So, you bit the bullet and went with the 7VWH? Excellent choice, man!

I was curious about your final decision and I'm glad you went with the shizzle. Uh, shizzle is good, to clear it up for whoever actually gives a rats ass! Enjoy!

Congrats, Steve!

I had my VWH next to my desk yesterday in its gig bag. It was sooooo hard to concentrate on my work. I skipped lunch and played for an hour instead. Congrats on the guitar and enjoy!!

Actually...to be honest, different guitars definately help me get out of a rut. An instrument has a vibe and a soul all it's own...especially a very well crafted instrument like a vwh. I plan on getting one, even though I prefer wizard necks and necks like on the dbk, the ebony board just puts it over the edge for me. They're soo nice that if it doesn't help you get out of a rut...I dont know what will.

Congrats man.

Mines only two or three weeks old and I've just taken the cellophane off the scratchplate.

They (7VWH) are the mutts nuts. Even if it looks like an Elvis guitar (Si !) :P

Steve, Congrats on the 7VWH, you're going to love it. The ebony/evolution combo is out of this world. The neck is a wee bit thicker than your previous guitars (90HAM, DBK) but it is a smoking axe indeed. I prefer the tone of the 7VWH over all my other guitars. Lately, I have been playing my 90th rather than the "Vine" because of the thinner neck. I did'nt realize you sold your DBK. It's good to hear you still have the DNA. I'm currently going through an investment dilemma, which may result in selling my UVMC and DY. I think eventually I'll end up with only three Jems... my DNA, 90HAM, & 7VWH. Rock On!!! --rvj

RVJ, those would be the only 3 to have, in my opinion, if you were to have 3. for me, after a handful of years, it's the 7vwh and dna....that's all i need. if i EVER got rid of the DNA, which i doubt.... i would probably have just the 7vwh, and one other 7vwh for backup. i have been so busy, i haven't had time to play it at all. tonight, friday..... will be the night. i'll use it to start writing new tunes for the upcoming cd.

Steve, now that you've had it for a few days, how do you like it? Sweet is'nt she? I'm really falling in love with my 90th, it's become my main player. I also really like the thinner neck, it just feels great. Are you going to Jemfest? --rvj

i have been so busy....i played it for the first time last night and it was great! my main guitar was my paul gilbert pgm30 and that has killer tone! after i plug in the 7vwh, no contest really. the 7vwh is my fav. i just have to setup the floyd and action and i'm ready to go. i love this guitar. i would love to go to jemfest but i can't get off work. don't really have the money either. i will have to check into jemfest and see what it's all about. is it just sponsored by this site? or is it like NAMM.
