my first time playing a JEM

today i went to a music store about an hour away and what do i see there ? yes , it was a Jem there was the JEM7vwh and there was a the Jem7dblk(idk what the exact name was, so it was the black one to put it simple, but not the universe) any way the balck one didnt relly intrest me too much i dont know it played just like my rg 570 but with alot better sound , but i tottaly fell in love with the white one , wow that was great experiance they play sooooo nice i couldnt belive it! I finally understand what all the fuss about jems is about.

I have a few questions
1) do all the white jems have the last 4 frets scalloped? that one did
2) How the hell can guys afford all so many of these things they were selling that jem for 2500!!! i think thatas a lil over priced

any way my first time jem expericce was great

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe all JEMs have that, except the 555 (JEM Jr.).

And congrats on your first JEM experience, I'm still waiting for mine. Closest I got was seeing a DNA behind glass next to a JS2k and that Saber 6/7-string doubleneck in Disney World.

I think that is the absolute price for a new vwh. So it's not at all overpriced...unless it is used...

My first JEM-experience ended up with me buying (7BSB). Are you a Finn by the way or do they listen to COB in Wisconsin?

My first JEM-experience was with a DY around 1988. I couldn't afford it but it definetly led to the purchase of my first JEM 2001. I dreamed about it for 13 years until I could finally get one of my own.

My first Jem experience was when I was about 15/16 and I was doing work experience for a music store.

They had a Jem77FP 2nd hard. I thought it was aweful!
I laughed at the floral design
They had it marked for 650

Wish I bought it now tho I quite like the design!

They are pretty popular, I guess (I don't listen to them much myself). I just didn't know their records were even exported A fellow student of mine plays trombone in a funk band with COB guitarist Ale.

First time I played a Jem I went home with it as well (a BSB). Cool guitar, but doesn't have the last 4 frets scalloped. No matter, it has an AANJ and still plays fantastically!

I never understood the fuss untill I picked one up either

While we're all on the subject. My 'first time' with a jem was back in 1991 on a VBK. I wanted one since that point but had to wait 9 years. The day I finished my dissertation whilst at Uni, I handed it in, got a silly amount of cash out from the bank and bought a second hand vwh. One of the finest moves I ever made guitar-wise.
