My JS1 - now with more Donnie

I have a first year JS1WH that I picked up a while back for a great price. Really nice guitar overall save the yellowed paint and a crack right down the center of the control cavity where something heavy had clearly pressed down on the tone knob.

But I knew from day one that what it really needed was a Donnie paint job and I knew the guy who I wanted to do it. So I contacted andyt to see if he'd be willing to do my guitar and being the great guy that he is, he agreed to do it.

It took me a while to finally get around to getting it done, but in the end it was completely worth it. I've never seen a real Donnie so I have no idea how it compares, but the quality of Andy's work is just top notch. I couldn't be more pleased with this guitar.

Wow!! Congrats Andy did a great job.....that's just amazing. Now go gig with it and show it off. That's a guitar that needs to be put on display. If you don't mind me asking how much does a paintjob like that run?

Great job! How did he paint it, by hand or airbrush?

I'll leave the pricing to Andy if anyone else wants to inquire with him. But I'll just say that the paint cost me more than the guitar

Yes. It's some kind of 2K clear.

I believe he said in an earlier thread that it's done with paint markers.
