Talking My "new" Jem7vwh

Hi guys, just letting you know I have purchased a 1998 7vwh. It is in great shape, just the normal gold rub on the bridge. It plays like a dream even for being seven years old. there is a little buzz on the low E string though. Does anyone have any advice for me to get rid of that irritating problem. I would really like to hear from some of you more experienced guys how to do it without raising the action, it is soooo sweet now. Thanks guys!! I will try to post some pics if I can figure it out. Oh yea I bought it for 1200. Pretty sweet huh.

Re: My "new" Jem7vwh

Well, I also have a fender american strat. It would be hard to compare the feel and sound of each guitar to each other because they are so different. I love some things on one more than I do the other. But I guess for me I like playing the Jem better because the neck just seems to play smoother and faster. when I want to rip I grab the Jem, when I want to lay back and just play a cool melody I grab the Strat. Satch stuff sounds good on the strat!! I run everything thrugh a virtualizer pro than out to my Randall 100 watt 2/12 combo and it sounds pretty good.

Re: My "new" Jem7vwh

I bought my 7vwh about 11 months without being able to play a note. Since then it has motivated me to want to play and play better. I am now able to Enter Sandman by Metallica including solo which I am quite please with after only 11 months. Having never held a guitar before I bough the Jem, I am a Vai fan, I have recently played my teachers Gibson and Fenders and I cannot find one with a neck so slim and easy to play as the Jem. Every neck should be a Jem neck.

Fabulous guitar, sound great, looks great and inspiring.

You'll NEVER find a Gibson that plays as well as a Jem

Amen.

But then again, you'll never find a Jem that sounds like a Gibson, so I guess everything has it's place. For me, Gibson's place is on the store shelf.
