Neck finish wear on Ibanez TQM1

I have a TQM1 with the satin finish neck (similar to other AZ Prestige). The finish is beginning to wear off. I know with my Music Man they suggest rubbing lightly with 0000 steel wool and applying a thin coat of tru oil to renew it. Is the Ibanez the same or is there another protocol?
Thanks

Re: Neck finish wear on Ibanez TQM1

Reading the Ibanez literature for that particular model, they say it's a roasted maple neck with an oil finish. My understanding was that roasted maple necks didn't even need a finish. I guess you could just take it all off, or reapply some sort of oil.
