something could be obstructing the string. check for sharp edges on the bridge, at the nut etc. If there's nothing there, it could be the pickup.
don't know how to test that though.....

Make sure the saddle isn't a bit loose.

Did you try a new string?

It's really strange I change my strings every four days because I play so much, so it has a band new set on it, but it has been doing this for awhile now had it has been steadly getting worse.

why don't your try turning up the volume and tapping the magnet on each of the pickups.

maybe you'll be able to hear some kind of difference, which might reveal the culprit.

is something on the fretboard obstructing the string from resonating?

If not then it sounds like one of your pickups is screwed

Is your sustain the same on all the pickups?

Yes, I have the same loss on every pickup, but some notes are worse than others like D - A frets 5 - 14 seem to be the worse, there is no fret buzz or contact with the string though when fretted.

sounds similar to a problem I had with my RG550, turned out to be a faulty Tone control

Number one how low is your action? ANd how much bow do you have in your neck? Im curious as to how tight or loose the trussrod is on that guitar as well. If you have another ibanez edge equipped guitar i would trade out the saddle to see if that fixes it, who knows it could be cracked underneath or or anything.

umm the neck should have some bow, its virtually impossible for it to play well without it. Fret the guitar at the 12th fret and tell me how much space you have between the string and the 5th and 24th frets
