Need shipping help!!!!

Not sure which topic advice for shipping a guitar would go in (has to do with guitars so it would not be Misc...) Moderators move this where you think it fits....

I need help. I have a guitar coming from Ireland. What is the best inexpensive way to ship the guitar to me? I can use the USPS. They said they could ship TO but not pickup FROM Ireland. Ireland's post office is wanting a friggin fortune to ship it here. Any suggestions!?!?!

Yeah my problem was finding a shipping company to ship from Ireland TO the USA. Its a little more expensive but we are using "Parcelforce". They are charging a good $70 more to ship from Ireland to the USa than the USPS charges to go from the USA to Ireland. Oh well.......

Yeah, ParcelForce arent too bad over here, they are a massive company and have a very good 24hr service. I have dealt with them loads of times as they are the only decent shipping service we have over here. It shouldnt be too bad, but they do like to charge a bit extra. I hope the guitar is worth it though?

ParcelForce are a good choice. I've never had any problems with them. Bear in mind that the USA is many times the size of a country like Ireland or the UK, so the companies here don't usually ship such massive distances for private customers so it's bound to cost more than the equivilent american company.

International shipping seems to be expensive no matter who you use. I just traded for a DNA from the Netherlands, and we used FedEx for the transaction. It took 4 days (one day in customs) and shipping was rather expensive, but it arrived safe, and I could track it the whole way. Please let us know who you choose, and how it works out....good luck
