New Chromeboy's for Joe

Joe, appears to be playing a new JS Chromeboy. Guitar is minus sticky tape on jack area and unscratched. http://www.satriani.com/2000/road/20...1/P0003861.jpg

sure does look new... or redone. Which ever I still want one... but 3000 is a little much IMO... but if I had the money I'd probably shell out for it.

Pearly looks that clean from that angle. Not saying it is, just nothing says it isn't

No amount of money will get you a new Ibanez made JS2

could by Pearly

look at http://www.satriani.com/2000/road/lw...1/P0003865.jpg

if you look closely at the neck pickup, you can make out a rough white line where the seymour duncan logo would be

then again - it could be a new one in this pic - http://www.satriani.com/2000/road/lw...1/P0003839.jpg - but it's just too blur

Yeah....at the risk of sounding like Me Too!!, I thought the chromy on the alien head strap looked new when I saw Joe in Birmingham. No photos to compare though..

Peelless Chromeboy

So does he finally have a Chromeboy that does peel? If so, I'd like to play one or have one
Or are those the ones that are massed produced? If so, anybody have any links to the JS10ths that they were talking about in Guitar World Magazine?

GUYS! zoom in on the pickups. Notice the very faded/dirty cloth that wrapps the coils? JUUUUUST like pearly. Its either her, or old pickups.

Guitarpicker- the JS10th (singular) that was on the collector's page in the back of the September Guitar World is just like any of the other 503 or so JS10th's out there. You can see some JS10th, as well as an original JS2 at http://www.ibanezrules.com/gallery.htm

To my knowledge, Joe hasn't really used a JS10th regularly, and prefers the original wood-bodied JS2's (at least 2 of which have some peeling damage due to wood shrinkage). If you do a search on "Chromeboy" or "JS2" I'm sure you'll find many threads containing particulars about the chrome JS'.

As for owning one...getting a JS10th isn't too diffucult, as long as you've got an extra $2300 or so. Forget about getting a JS2 though...there are only a dozen or so out there.

Dammit.....I could've sorted all this out. I talked to Mike Manning for about 10 mins at the end of Joe's concert in Birmingham; I just didn't realise it was him at the time...he looks different without hair!!
