New to the Forum so here's my Jem555

Hey! I love it here btw! Anywho, just recently purchased a used jem 555 like 2 days ago lol. It's awesome! I got it from Robbie's Music in Budd Lake, New Jersey! It's a 1998 and has aged beautifully! I'm going to upgrade the bridge cuz it came with the lo pro whatever that pretty much oxidizes when you sneeze on it haha. I've had experiences with this bridge and yea it's got to go. For now I have an all parts lo pro bridge on it and I'm upgrading to either a lo pro edge, edge pro, or original edge. Persuade me so I can stop kicking around the idea in my head 24/7 lol. Anyways, here she is:

Looks like the LO-TRS II has already been replaced. That's an licensed Floyd Rose. Does it have any writing on it?

Put a Gotoh Floyd Rose on. Replace the studs and anchors with the locking Gotoh ones too.

You might need to do some sanding to accommodate an Edge or Lo Pro Edge. They might fit though.

Re: New to the Forum so here's my Jem555

So I looked up the trem articles on information section of this site and it says that I would have to rout in front of the posts and widen the cavity. The only problem I see as I look at my guitar is that the pickgaurd would get in the way of any routing infront of the posts. How much routing are they talking? Is there anyone on here who has done this with a jem jr before?

Re: New to the Forum so here's my Jem555

The black one's killer bro! I love it! I considered getting a black one a while ago and might still get one, but the white won me over lol. Yea I gotta figure this thing out lol. I got a really awesome trem that's licensed and made by some japanese company. It works and everything but it won't flick at all lol! I'm thinking it's the posts so I'm going to get new ones haha. Drops right in too! Maybe one day I'll drop in an edge and route it and everything, but for now hopefully this will do. You should post a pic of your black 555 man! They are sick guitars!

Your 555 is awesome. It has something no V7WH ever seem to have -- a beautiful creamy vintage white color. Reminds me more of a UV77PWH.
