new guy here and amazingly cheap jem story

Hey guys, I am a new dude here form Aus and a recent Jem buyer.
I have collected early 90's rg 550's for the last 6 years, ETC ETC.

I have a pretty funny and almost unbelieveable story for ya.

Recently I found a Jem 7PBK on ebay here in aus for $600 US dollars, well i got it and its awesome, a great guiatr and bargain, BUT - to cut a long story short, I felt the need to call a few local shops in sydney to see if they had any second hand jems - 1 shop did, but wouldnt tell me the price or model. I asked about what type ETC but they could only tell me it was green with the handle!!??, ok i thought, might pop on down.

I entered the shop yesterday and looked around for a green jem, to be honest - the heart was racing a little looking for the mystery beast, but i couldnt see it anywhere.
I asked the guy in the shop about the Jem and mentioned i couldn't find it - he pointed to the ceiling where - (wait for this) he had it gaffed to the ceiling as an ornamental piece...friggin gaffed!, anyways he mentioned that he had no intention to sell but i ended up getting it for $350 US dollars. A Jem77GMC! in USA hardcase. yep dreams come true and idiots are everywhere.

the guitar has had its share of beatings, how can someone abuse a guitar like this??

anyways, an awesome deal and a great colour.

i don't think these guys are that idiot, just misinformed. i think what for us is a great 91 ATD UVMC with chaotic paint for them is a 'weird painted old pointy ibanez guitar, like those 80's bands used'

imagine what the pawnshop paid if they sell it that cheap....drool
