Talking New Jem7PBK (yes i know another Jem this month!)

Dear Jemsite,

Today i decided i'd post pictures of my new 1990 Jem 7PBK which i got from GaryQwa (thanks mate, she is stunning). First , let me say a few words about it. From the pictures i got from Gary, the condition looked actually a little bad, but there is nothing that is really bad on this guitar. I would rate it between fair and good, but to me this is good. None of the small dents and or scratches pierce through the finish , and since she is black - they go by undetected for the most part. The neck on this guitar is reaaally different than that of my Jem 777 SK. It's really nice and thin and plays real fast. This guitar with a Lo-pro, although according to Gary, the last owner swapped the original edge for a lo-pro. There are pictures of it above that are better than those i put in my trade ad. It seemed worst, but the flash made it look bad. I took some better pictures (since the ones i posted weren't even mine) and if anyone is interested in a swap, let me know! Lo-pro for an Edge

Now on to the pictures!

Congratulations! It looks great.

Maybe someone here can answer a question regarding my PBK. Mine is an 89 and it has the volume pot moved down a little, with the original hole plugged with a white cap. As far as I know this is original (I'm the 2nd owner). Does anyone know if this original? If so, is there a reason why some of them are like this?

It does have scallopped frets. Thanks

Also does an know how to lower the bridge on this thing ? I am sure i am missing a tool or something because it feels like the trem posts are locked. I have no idea how to unlock em'.

Careful or youll break them...!

You need a small allen wrench (1.5mm iirc) to unlock the set screws (inside the post), then you can turn the posts to raise / lower the bridge...
