New JS6

Just nabbed a slightly worn JS6 on a certain auction site for $850. I have a mint one so I need a player I can use. I'm happy, should arrive soon

Good work I keep thinking that I want to snag another one and pop an Edge in it

Re: New JS6

If I could mod I'd make it like the JS2000 with the locking fixed bridge. I have so many tremmed JSs I don't mind the hard tail, I just don't like the lack of tuning stability

Nice!!

Must've flown under the radar! I have said auction site notify me when one gets lifted. Or I thought I did anyway.

Re: New JS6

It just said Ibanez Joe Satriani Guitar. I check ibanez satriani and ibanez js everyday, have for years, that's how I got most of my collection.

Re: New JS6

I used to search nearly every day, but don't any more. I have "Ibanez JS6" as a saved search or whatever they call it. And I'll search for "JS" and a few other things here and there. Now I've got 2 JS6 so pretty much have ZERO need for another, but it is an addiction I guess.

Glad it worked out for you. I absolutely love mine.

Good for you! I love my JS guitars...don't have a JS6 though...

Those are the exact same searches that I do everyday too!

Re: New JS6

I have one near mint tenth and one messed up tenth that I play. Same set up for the JS6 doubles. So I don't really have any to spare. Sorry

Re: New JS6

Got the JS6. Upgraded to Grover tuners which I like. Has JS6000 style knobs and has something else in place of the FRED not sure what it is. Feels great and sounds good. I have an extra FRED but I may leave what's there in it. Good deal.

Re: New JS6

Had the high pass filter installed as it should be. The bridge pick up is a dimarzio with one side flat poles and other the ones that look like flat head screws. Maybe an Air or Norton or something? I can't tell but I think I will leave it in there. I think it adds a kick to the bridge that the fred doesn't have and I have enough guitars with the stock JS pickups. Loving it. Great catch if I can say so myself.
