New JS7 string?

Dunno if this has been mentioned somewhere else or not...

but by the looks of it, joe has a new red 7 string... now, I may have a slightly elevated blood alcohol level after a gig last night... but Im sure I see 7 machine heads on that thing...

Could this be a possible new JS release?

clicky clicky:

Seems as though Joe's diggin the red thing at the moment, which is cool.

I've read people's comments stating it would have happened by now, but come on Ibanez, a JS7 would be [email protected]*kin' awesome and i'm sure would sell like hot cakes. (Say's with credit card in hand)

I would quite happily take one off of my local ibanez dealer thats for sure. I dont dig the red tho myself. A 7string JS would go nicely with my other JS's tho...

Yeah, i'm not totally into red myself, but an oiled Mahogany one would be sweet.

yeah it looks very much like the JS100, which is what I thought it was a first and I did a double take.

I would prefer it in the colours of Geoff Tyson's guitar on the satch tapes... that colour scheme is cool as f*ck

I saw the pic and was wondering the same thing [new JS7?]... my guess is: Last tour, Joe and Galen were playing oil finish mahogany 7 strings that Ibanez made special for him. Perhaps, now... Joe had them make him one that is transparent red like on the old JS6000... perhaps for whatever reasons a touring/recording guy would prefer a "protected" finish vs. natural finish. [or he's just on a red kick like it's mentioned above, lol.] just my guess[es]

either that or Joe got his 7 string proto-type built and loved it. If you noticed his first 7 strings weren't very "rounded" and very rough and squary for the shape. Maybe he just loved having a 7 string and had Ibanez make him a fully radius'd and round body'd JS.
