The newest Jem 77 FP2 or used but ultra mint Jem 10th Anniversary?

Guys, the topic which guitar is more fantastic is like a river, but which
one would you choose?

Jem 10th Anniversary i perfect condition or... the newest Jem Floral Pattern 2?

What i personally like about 10th Anniversary is Lo Pro Edge there, which
i love from my '98 RG7620 bk i will never sell.

I holded FP2 im my hands last Friday and kind of turn off was it felt like cheap guitar with some paint, while 10th Anniversary looks more special to me, representing its price.

So for which one would you go? Both around 3000 EUR.

Regards,
Konrad

Jem 10 without a doubt.

The silk smooth neck of the 10th is a winner for me. Although I sold mine because my RB was a better guitar overall (for me), I still would take a 10th over almost anything.

I'm biased of course but a properly setup FP2 wins out every time

Go for the 10th. IMHO, the 10th looks 100x better and will hold resell value better than the fp2.

What about pickups and generally sound? FP2 is 15 years younger. There should then be some progress? Does anyone know how many FP2s will be produced? Is it just a top shelf guitar, but nothing special beside some custom paint and Evo 2 pickups?

How about 7 V WH vs FP2 vs 10th?

I have a feeling that 7 V WH would take a second place from these 3 when we talk about impression from look...

Obvious answer: Jem 10th. Really, there is no contest. If you could go either way, you need to go 10th. The FP2 and 7VWH are not equals to the 10th in terms of desirability and value. Simply put, outside of personal preference, if you traded a 10th for a FP2 or a 7VWH, you would be downgrading.

The price of the FP2 is insane. If the choice was 10th or reasonably priced FP2, then what would the answer be?

The FP2 can be played for years without showing wear. You'll never say that about the 10th. And with the Edge the FP2 will play easier.

Re: The newest Jem 77 FP2 or used but ultra mint Jem 10th Anniversary?

I'd take the bound ebony board over the unbound rosewood one out of personal preference alone, so I would still take the 10th. And I'd probably put Bartolinis in the 10th and swap out the pickguard for a VWH one as well I'm not too high on all the chrome of the 10th, and don't really like anything looks wise about the FP2, so it's still any easy choice for me based on the neck alone.

If you just wanted the ebony board you could use a pre 04 VWH as a base and do whatever you want to it for a couple 1000 less

10th for me, I hope to see one of these guitars someday. Looks absolutely beautiful.

Peace
