NGD: JS2400!

First post! Just got a JS2400 and I'm really liking it so far!

This is my first JS and my second Ibanez (the first was an early 90's S series that I sold some time ago.)

I paid $1200 for my lightly used JS2400 which is in mint condition. Is that a reasonably good deal?

Could someone tell me what strings this guitar would have originally shipped with?

Thanks!

Alan

Re: NGD: JS2400!

For $1200 you scored big time. That's the type of price a nice JS1000/1200 would fetch but you got the full 24 frets and a current model.

With Ibanez Edge, or OFR or similar, I think 9-42 wouldn't be a bad set to use with your setup.

I was just curious if these guitars came with 9's or 10's from the factory.

I normally play 10's, but if they come with 9's and I put on 10's, it might need a truss rod tweak, right?

Whatever it has on it now, it plays very nice so I'm thinking I'll stick with whatever that is.

Congrats on the guitar man! 1200 was a pretty good deal! and about the strings i'm not sure about the gauge but Joe change his setting to 10's and Eb tuning when he started playing the 24 fret models, so maybe thats what the guitar came with from factory?

Re: NGD: JS2400!

I just bought a perfect one today for 1500 shipped, so yeah you got a good deal.
I am so freaking excited to get mine.

I have overlooked the white for a long time, but whe I saw the price and how nice it was, I just had to bust a move. I'll post pics when it gets here.

Re: NGD: JS2400!

Mine should be here Saturday. I'm really excited. All of the reviews I've seen for this guitar are very good.

I think It's going to get the Donnie Treatment after I am able to put it down for long enough.
