Number of LNG's signed on body/backplate

Read in a Ibanez book that 296 Lng's were shipped from Fujigen. Is this the same number that has been signed on the body, and that the rest of the 777 is signed on the backplate ?

Anyone who knows how many guitar cases with pyramid label produced ?

Re: Number of LNG's signed on body/backplate

I'm pretty sure that all 777 of them were shipped from Fujigen

Unless by that you mean that 296 were sold in non-US markets? That might make sense. Non-US guitars were signed on plates. US guitars are signed on the body.

The guitars with the numbered pyramid plaques were handled by Hoshino USA and are the lowest numbers. The middle numbers were handled by Chesbro. High numbers were non-US. You'd have to do some digging to figure out the breakpoints.

Just looking at some data on Rich's site, #260 and #380 are Chesbro guitars and #573 is an overseas guitar. Stealthtastic was just trying to sell #245 which is an HUSA guitar, so that narrows down the breakpoint between HUSA and Chesbro pretty far.

Re: Number of LNG's signed on body/backplate

OK, way more of them were shipped to the US. I would believe that 296 were non-US, which would mean that 481 were shipped to the US.

I found #256, it's an HUSA guitar supposedly:

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum....php?t=1478435

If that were true, you could make an educated guess that:

#1 - Steve Vai's personal LNG
#2-256 - US guitars, Hoshino USA (255 guitars)
#257-481 - US guitars, Chesbro (225 guitars)
#482-777 - non-US guitars (296 guitars)

#518 is also a non-US guitar, which narrows that range down a bit.
