Re: Odd looking Jem.

Yeah it's not even a Jem neck either which makes it a little sus. It's probably made from genuine Ibanez parts, but it's not a Jem.

Haha, it looks like the moths have been at it.

I don't understand why someone would mod a Jem like that only to sell it... you're only diminishing value and greatly reducing your potential buyers. I guess the guy just really needs the cash. Not sure about the price though...

It could very well be a JEM7RB neck. Those have dots. Or, at least mine sitting next to me does :P

Though, it looks lite the nut is chrome, and RBs are cosmo. Or wait, is it cosmo? Now that I look again it kinda looks like cosmo.. But sure, it could've been changed. But to me it looks like a modified JEM7RB, it's the same kind of pickguard (except his is, what, melted?)

I at least think I might be right in this?

The only problem with that is that I wonder what he's done to the monkey grip.. Maybe I'm totally wrong about the guitar, the monkey-grip thingy might give it away.. I can't really figure if th old-style monkey-grip could fit in there somewhere. But I'm wondering if he's used some kind of wood-filler there to fill the grip. Or I dunno. I'll just be silent now

Re: Odd looking Jem.

It looks like someone wanted to make it into a LGM Leviathan, and gave up half way through.

Re: Odd looking Jem.

Fabio, I thought it was a RB myself, but it looks like it had the newer grip style, not the RB one. Also at the back inside the trem cavity it looks like it was originally pink. Probably an RG neck...

Re: Odd looking Jem.

So do we get $800 to take the guitar off his hands? Unless he is paying someone to take it, then an asking price of $800 is about $799 too much.
