Re: Orange, or Green?

I would choose the orange swirl, looks more original, or if you go the green swirl way, be creative, like use glow in the dark green or something... or just do this http://vai.com/Machines/guitarpages/guitar037.html that would be killer.

Re: Orange, or Green?

I'd choose orange just over green, it's a hard choice.

Make sure it's a REALLY bright sickish orange though, i think if it's too dark it'll just look really mucky and horrible.

What Jem are you swirling?

Re: Orange, or Green?

Orange! There aren't that many orange swirls out there. Neon Yellow, Green and black would be pretty cool.

Re: Orange, or Green?

Oh yea, one more thing. The RG has dot inlays, so if i swirled it green i dont think it would look as cool without the green vine inlays. Ive got the paint already, so i think im ready for a new orange jem!

EDIT:
Sorry, forgot this too. Should i swirl the headstock too? Because its already stripped and it would be easier to swirl that while im at it.

Re: Orange, or Green?

I don't know if anybody makes actual covers, but you can get "bobbin toppers", from universaljems.com. They are stickers that fit over the top of an existing pickup, to alter their appearance.

You may also be able to contact DiMarzio(or Duncan- whatever you'r going to be using), and ask them if they could make them for you. It'll probably be more expensive, though.

Re: Orange, or Green?

dont remember dimarzio offering orange as a choice...

anyway, good luck, maybe in the future if it comes out great you can have a custom orange vine inlayed on it...
