Unhappy Patrick Sims, Whats the deal?

So A while back I got ahold of Patrick Sims of the well renowned custom shop to make me a LNG body. I paid the man via CC, and he told me it would be a few months before he could start the project, as he was pretty booked up. Well, it's been awhile so I decided to check in with him and see how it's going. He hasn't responded to email, or phone calls and I'm getting pretty nervous about it. I'm a pretty "benefit of the doubt" type of guy but I've been burned in the past and as a result I'm quicker to get wary about this sort of thing. Any Advice Jemsters?

Re: Patrick Sims, Whats the deal?

I'm not going to stir the pot on this one because:
A) This actually isn't the proper sub-forum for a discussion of this matter - there's a seperate thread for Sims in the Vendor section.
B) This site doesn't need any more Sims drama.

That said, if I was you, I would contact the CC company, get the charge canceled and find another vendor.

I second this. Get the CC company to charge him back. Next time, check with the better business bureau or get references before dealing with someone you have not done businesss with before.

Or check the Jemsite vendor forums.

+3. Maybe leave a voicemail & an e-mail stating what you are going to do, tell him if can't give you a date then call the cc company and get a charge back. It shouldn't take that damn long to do a LNG body. It is a shame, I really like his work and I would love to get a LNG, SK and maybe a custom JEM down the road but I won't put up with that bs.

I wouldn't even bother doing that. You've already paid him and he hasn't had the courtesy to return any of your correspondence. IMHO, it's game over. Get on with your life and find another vendor you will deliver what you order in a timely manner.

If you do that, he will just string you a long as he has done to many other people.
