Pickup help

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi

I just picked up a MArshall JCM2000 DSL 100. What a beast..anyway..

I play everything from Great White (smooth plexi sounds) to Iron Maiden when the band isn't around *wink

I have a JS1 up for sale hoping to fund a lespaul.

If it doesn't sell..What bridge pickup would you recommend that would really drive my amp? Bridge pickup.

Thx

BTW love the amp

Dimarzio Evolution as it's a very hot pick-up. How hot are you wanting to go?? You can always go the EMG-81 route. Active pickup(battery powered) and very high output.

Check out the Dimarzio Super Distortion as well. Like I say, if you're just after the hottest pick-up you can find, EMG's are pretty tough to beat. I've got a few EMG81's laying around(haven't used them in years) if you're just going to play metal, then the 81's are great pick-ups. Not much for clean tones though(in my opinion). I think active pick-ups are very limited in tonal qualities. But very very high in output..
