Jem555 has a vine on the first half of the neck.

It's essentially a 555 with no vine inlay, a different trem that stays better in tune than the TRS and has JEM Jr inscripted on headstock. How much did you pay for it?

Somehow i doubt that a cheaper trem will stay in tune better than the already-cheap TRS.

Remember that the 333 is made in China (or elsewhere) and likely doesn't even touch the Korean-built models in terms of quality and playability. The 333's only purpose is to put a legitimate Ibanez axe on the market in the bargain-basement category to try and stem the flow of counterfeits.

But that's all covered in the original 333 thread, as well as discussions with Himself.

erm, click the link below the picture.

darren~ the ibz site says it's korean made, so it's very likely they have a better trem.

It may be assembled in korea, and made in china. I know the first few were made in china for a fact, and besides the jrs333 shouldnt even be on the american sight at all

Its an ILT trem, so it ain't that great. At least on 2002 models. I don't know what would be there for 2003, but expect they won't spend much time on deciding.

price

these aren't available to the UK yet i think, was wandering how much do they retail for? I really don't see the point in this guitar, to be quite honest, i think it makes the JEM series and everything that makes them so special less glamarous

As discussed in the thread already devoted TO the JEM333- the purpose of the guitar, as Darren said, is simply to offer a VERY cheap model to the foreign markets where counterfeits are a major problem. It doesn't matter if they're less glamorous. They're CHEAP. The JEM555 is crappy. 333 is less than 555, therefore it stands to reason that the JEM333 is 222 crappier still.

There is a very valuable and very legitimate "point" to this guitar: to help cut down on the dollars being stolen away from Ibanez by counterfeits.

Please continue any further discussion in the thread that has been going on for nearly two years already:
