Please Help! (JEM7VWH purchase)

Okay, here's the deal. I have been looking into buying a Jem for a while, and I've recently decided to get a JEM7VWH. I've been looking all over the place, but I have only found one person who sells them and his price was $2,500+ and I know that they are sold in some places for less. Does anyone know of someone, preferably someone who is lisenced, who sells JEM7VWH's for less than $2,500? Thanks a lot for any help.

i think it's easier to say that in the USA, ANY ibanez dealer will beat list price by 20% or more. You can pay much less from just about any ibanez dealer... glen

Better yet...save an extra $700 or so and just buy a used 7VWH. Why absorb the depreciation of buying a new one when there are so many great used ones out there? I know of a near mint one right now for a mere $1050US.

Okay

I am considering buying a used one, but I want to see how much a low cost non-used 7VWH would be first.

In the US, the lowest-priced new VWH's usually go for just under $1800 or so.

Yup

Yeah, that's what I've heard. Are there any stores that you would recommend more than others? I mean like, chains (i.e. Guitar Center) 'Cause I live in Massachusetts and there aren't too many good guitar stores anywhere near where I live...

The 2 used ones I have are both premiums. Why? rarely do the abolone leaves in the scallops come out bright as the machining usually burns them to dark. Both on those have nice bright abolone in the scallops, no gold wear, well, one was Brians, I think he just looks at them because they're all so damn perfect!!

Brian isn't kidding. I have been dealing with Rich recently and it has resulted in the absolute most enjoyable purchasing experience, PERIOD. IMO, I can't see the logic going elsewhere, I know I've never felt as confident and warm about a purchase as I do with my IbanezRules experience. Rich truly went above the call of duty to help me find that perfect JEM (DNA#61).

Kudos, Rich! Seriously. Now I understand all those "THANK YOU RICH!!" threads.

Update

Okay. Thanks for all the great advice guys. I have decided that I will most likely NOT buy a used 7VWH and so my remaining options seem to me to be the following:

1: Buy from a dealer (i.e. Guitar Center)

2: Buy online (i.e. Rich)

3: Buy from classified ads or some such

Please tell me which of these 3 you think is the best. Thanks!
