PMC earth wire oddity

I'm restoring a PMC which came to me in sorry condition with a replaced middle pickup, 2 extra toggle switches, and a rat's nest of wiring. There is an extra earthed wire screwed into the floor of each pickup rout. Can anyone tell me if this might be original before I remove them and regret it?

Re: PMC earth wire oddity

You have 3 like that? There will definitely be one and that looks to be a correct end.

Re: PMC earth wire oddity

I just looked at the spare PMC body I have any there is a screw hole in each pickup rout, I'd have to say that is original.

Re: PMC earth wire oddity

Awesome Rich, I'm so glad I checked before I took out the wires. It won't be in collector condition anyhow because of the missing pickup and switch holes but I may as well keep it as original as possible. Thanks so much.
I know I asked you before but do you have a purple middle pickup/pickup cover by any chance?

Re: PMC earth wire oddity

Only the one that goes with this body, but purple covers are out there and the single is no different than any PAF JEM so there are plenty of both, just finding one when you need one the problem.
