Problem with the neck of JEM10

Hello together!
Is there any other JEM10 player out there who can easily move the neck a little bit though the screws in the body are fixed very strong? If yes, did you solve the problem and on which way?
A guitarbuilder told me that there was made too much place in the body for the neck. Because of that you can move it a little bit to the left and to the right. There is a little space between the neck and the body on each side. At my other guitars (JS1000+UV) there is no space and no problem with the neck.
Hope that anyone can help me with my problem! The guitarbuilder tried to fill the spaces with little pieces of wood but thatīs hard to made and it doesn`t really works!
Please help so that I can play much longer this beautiful guitar!

Hi, regardless of the neck pocket tollerances, the neck should still be able to be tightened enough not to "move" like you have explained.

These neck pockets are usually tight, with little free space on either side. You could fill it with a thin shim on either side, which would restrict any movement, but care must be taken to install that properly... glen

10ths are kinda hit and missw for neck pocets. I have 3 here right now, 2 have gaps, the other is perfect.

As Glen said a properly tightened neck joint shouldn't move no matter the size of the pocket, but, every now and then you'll get what I call a "slick" pocket. Use a piece of 220 grit sandpaper folded over or a piece of window screen as a shim to add some "grip" You'll want to remove any original paper shim so the setup doesn't change radically.
