production #'s

I looked around the site and could not find anything regarding production #'s. Sorry if this has been asked before and please just point me in the right direction. Anyhow.

I was wondering if Ibanez keeps track of production figures, particularly on UV's and Jems...not just the limited editions which usually they publish. The master reference chart shows years of production but could be a bit misleading.
For example, the Jem 7v7 lists 13,14,15,16 as available. I have only ever seen serial #'s from 13 and a few from 14...not to say they didn't make a bunch in 15 and 16, but I would bet zero to few.

Same with UV's especially 2011-2013...never find many from those years so I started wondering about actual production figures and not just "available in the catalog" type of guessing.

Nothing pressing but just for my own edification. Seem like the early production jems and UV's are fairly well documented, and 2000 on a bit more of a blur.

Re: production #'s

Of course Ibanez keeps track but they have no desire or obligation to publish. Production numbers are not published for anything but the limited/anniversary models (to entice sales and high prices).

I've always assumed/understood Fujigen did runs of a given new model (i.e. 7v7) creating them in batches. None of the UVs have been brisk sellers (except the limited swirl reissues) so for the 7v7 sales were probably meh and most of them made early on.

Re: production #'s

Ibanez did not just give out production numbers of those guitars, they were gotten as a favor to Glen, otherwise we wouldn't have them.
