Pulling Sharp on new 7VWH

I have a new 7vwh and can not really pull sharp more than 1 full step without the strings buzzing out. I can break strings pulling sharp on my Rg520qs so this must be a set up issue. I also see how Vai uses his whammy. The action is actually higher than the RG though. The guitar just started doing this in the last week so I guess it is probably due to environmental changes?? The guitar has new strings and was professionally set up 10 days ago by a master luthier. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to get this licked so I can do some recording with the 7vwh.
- Bar angle looks pretty close.. maybe a slight forward lean
- uncertain about the truss rod
- action is high in my opinion and I have 4 other guitars with Floyds
- guitar had one high fret that was leveled by the luthier

did you check the neck shim?

(i really thank this forum. before coming here i had no idea what a neck shim is and how much a piece of paper can do for your setup!)

No. Correct me if I am wrong but the neck shim would be changed to make the action lower i think. The action now isn't overly low in my opinion. I'd like to get the action lower and still be able to pull sharp on the bar. How far can most of you fret a note and pull the note sharp. I can pull the harmonics plenty sharp but when I fret a note the bar buzzes out th note quickly.
