Question about BFP - Question about BFP

I really dig the BFP but would rather a rosewood or ebony board. *I had seen one with ebony once but can not find another anywere. *Was thing a custom or do they make them? * *

Also, what is the vine inlay made of?

Question about BFP

If you did see a BFP with an ebony fretboard....it was a custom job...as far as I know the BFP's only had maple fret boards! *And as far as the inlay is concerned....I don't have a BFP....but I would imagine it is the same as my VDY or FP....and they are plastic...like clear plastic over a colored piece of paper...or maybe even the bottom of the plastic is painted...I'm not 100% sure...it's not like I've dug one out or anything. *Regardless of the construction...they look great! * I too am a rosewood fan...thus there was no attraction to the BFP for me.

Question about BFP

Totally a custom. *Universal Jems shows you how to take your fretboard off your neck if you feel adventurous. *Get yourself a blank board, route it, put in new inlays, and then UPS me the old fretboard .

Question about BFP

I believe Herc did a custom blue vine inlay on a guitar (ebony or rosewood I'd have to check)

I have pics I could post

I prefer Maple and blue vine! *I have a BFP and a BFP neck on my new custom guitar soon to be unveiled...

cheers
