Question for PIA owners

To those who play a PIA (and ideally also play a Jem), any thoughts on the neck pickup? Just been checking out the specs and surprised at how different it is to most neck pickups, boosting the low frequencies.

Dees it sound muddy or boomy compared to the Evo or ProPro neck?

Re: Question for PIA owners

I would prefer an evolution in the neck. The problem is that the PIA pickups are part and parcel of the guitar design with the covers. So feel sort of stuck.

The bridge PIA is fine, and frankly great for me in position two with the coil split for some really cool tones.
