I went with traditional Vol/Tone knobs instead of the three knobs after seeing one of his guitars with one pot hole plugged and hearing he was going back to Vol/Tone
I started having it built when I lived in the Bay Area/SF.
Dan Ransom did the body, neck and paint and Gary Brawer did the rest.
Dan is/was awesome!!! I got to pick out the flame maple and body alder as well. He was very meticulous with everything. I got to come down in phases to check out the body, neck and everything - couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Obviously Gary's input was invaluable when I was deciding on how to layout the electronics and the like - but I was pretty set on the basics of a JS guitar like having an Ibanez neck plate, tuners and other hardware. Assembly and setup should be insane - he's actually setup my other JS's as well as a couple of my JEMs.
