Yeah

Alder Body
Satch Track Pups
Original Edge
Flamed maple neck w/skunk stripe, Rosewood fretboard with MOP Inlays
6105 Dunlop Fretwire w/Joe's neck/fretboard profile
Plekk'd
Ford Hot Rod Red

I went with traditional Vol/Tone knobs instead of the three knobs after seeing one of his guitars with one pot hole plugged and hearing he was going back to Vol/Tone

I'll take one...maybe not in red. Did you do it yourself or someone did it for you?

Re: NGD Preview - Custom JS

I started having it built when I lived in the Bay Area/SF.

Dan Ransom did the body, neck and paint and Gary Brawer did the rest.

Dan is/was awesome!!! I got to pick out the flame maple and body alder as well. He was very meticulous with everything. I got to come down in phases to check out the body, neck and everything - couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Obviously Gary's input was invaluable when I was deciding on how to layout the electronics and the like - but I was pretty set on the basics of a JS guitar like having an Ibanez neck plate, tuners and other hardware. Assembly and setup should be insane - he's actually setup my other JS's as well as a couple of my JEMs.

Wow that is a bit pricey. But I would consider buying a body. As long as I can buy it bare not painted.

The math, to me, makes sense ..... An unfinished boilerplate Warmoth body, model-dependent, can be ~$225 and a boilerplate neck ~$180, so when I factor in my guitar is being built by folks who have built and worked on Joe's stuff, and can build me a guitar using Joe's guitars as templates with my own touches like pick of paint color, choice of fretboard, inlays, flame maple and skunk stripe and proper neck profile/radius, $900-$1k for the body and neck made sense - YMMV
