Recommended amp for a Jem 7v ?

disregard this post, I found the link in the forums I was looking for....

Hi all, I'm a forum newb and the proud new owner of a beautiful Ibanez Jem 7v. I ran it through my Marshall Valvestate amp and was not very impressed with the sound; when I bought it, I played it though a Line 6 Spider Jam amp and was thrilled with the sound; considering how inexpensive it is, I'm thinking of springing for one of those. I'm not in a band, don't plan on being in a band, and mainly play at home jamming with friends and I also do home recordings with ProTools. Any advice would be appreciated. I wasn't sure what forum to go into, thought I'd start here....

go in a shop and try, there is not a "recommended" amp for a guitar, let your ears decide

I'm suprised it didn't sound good through the Valvestate. Was it an older model?

I've heard that JEM7Vs work well with the Carvin Legacy.

I'd look for one of those 10 watt Gorilla practice amps they put out in the nineties. Start trawling those pawn shops! Should be the guitar equivalent to tieing 50 pound weights to you legs while doing cross-country running.
