Yeh there's a canny few lads from West Yorkshire, I think there is a few from the North East aswell, including me.
I used a clear wood sealing oil from Ikea that I had left over from when I had new beech work tops fitted in my kitchen.

I'll take some shots of the head stock and rear of the neck with a better camera,I used my phone on these ones.Yes the head stock logo and serial number are still intact though there is still some green bleeding through as it is impossible to sand flat without destroying them.

Re: Refinished BSB

That looks fantastic Morris.
I'm very pleased to know that West Yorkshire seems to be the Jem capital of Europe (and that three of us live within 10 miles of each other!)

Nice job. The blue looks very nice. Over time the colors might blend some but I don't know that for sure. It would be cool though

Re: Refinished BSB

Well I never! West Yorkshire: the spiritual home of the Jem. If only Vai had known he might not have bothered wasting his time running a masterclass in dirty old London being asked about whether he had ever thought about having his own signature guitar and popped up to Leeds instead!

By eck it would appen that the west riding must lie on 777 degrees longditude 777 degrees latitude.
May be the 2008 model should be finished in wippet hair?
Come on Mr Vai move the mother ship to Cleckheaton, you know it makes sence.

Re: Refinished BSB

The worn BSB has more mojo to me..I'm guessing that colour will fade over time anyway..nice job refinishing it.

I'm from South Yorkshire (Donny) originally :thu:

Re: Refinished BSB

Hi,here's some more pic with head stock and rear of neck. You will see the green bleeding through around the logo and more so around the serial number, this can not be helped unless you want to sand them both off witch I didnt want to.Thats the only thing wrong that kind of bugs me but what the hell.

Re: Refinished BSB

I like the look of the two tone bleeding on the head . It would be interesting to see what this would look like overall .
Another thing is the BSB tag ...yours is clearly blue now and IMO looks more striking . The original colour is surely green BSG .

Either way , it looks great .
