Replacement pickups for the UV 777

As i stated earlier i just purchased a UV 777 and i play nu metal[slipknot and the like] but i want to find a pickup that is a bit hotter than the blaze humbucker thats in my bridge.

I was told that EMG's wouldnt fit without a mod on the pickguard and jack. Are there any hotter pickups that give me huge low end that doesnt require me to alter the pickguard?

thanks in advance

you could try Blaze customs from DiMarzio. I have heard they are a bit hotter than regular blazes. i'm not sure though.
btw how do you like your new uv? i also got an uv777 a month ago.
best guitar i've ever played!

I love it. It has taken a little while to get use to it. The neck was very suprisingly thin. I tried a few other models of 7 strings and the necks were either too wide or way to thick.

Although i am new to the 7 string guitar i find it a lot easier adjustment than i originally thought it would be. its now my mail guitar

I will say that the EVO 7 is surprisingly conducive to chunky, bass-heavy tones, if you EQ your rig for it.

dimarzio pickups are pretty good? Not familiar with them as the ones in the UV777 i have are the only ones i have used. I saw a band play that used a 7 string guitar use a duncan invader and that sounded alright but kinda muddy
