Replica of a Jem7VWH, tell me what you think

i saw this - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=2384#pictures
while browsing ebay for jems the other day, what do you think? the body look nice, its basswood, dont know about the pickups or trem, or the neck, but i mean if i fixed those up, replaced, i would probably spend under 500 bucks. tell me what you think.

Looks quite real; except for the missing vine inlay...
What was the brand? Spider or something? I can't really read the headstock (hey and I don't have enough time to read the whole text out there ).

An original Jem-6V retails for about $2000!

I don't know, could be a fun project guitar, I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it though, considering you would end up swapping everything anyway...

And rosewood board, body shape isn't really right, grip is bigger than normal, no lions claw, input jack in a different place,

Sorry, doesn't really look authentic at all, kind of a characture of a JEM7V

However, for $179, you can't even buy a neck and body for that, so really, it's not a bad start I guess, I just wouldn't buy it hoping for it to be anything like a JEM

hey everyone, thanks for yur oppinions...

i was thinking about getting an RG and turning it into an SK or VWH, but then i saw this and thought, what the hell if i can get it for under the buy it now, i will already have a painted body with a pickguard, and lots of spare parts. the neck may even be salvagable..

needs a trem, pickups, and new tuners i guess.... hmm dunno.

I'd sooner recommend you buy a 555, but I won't even do that. As always, though, if you want a JEM, I suggest buying the real thing. Accept no substitutes!

I have to agree with Jeremy. The guitar looks certainly nice and the price is very good to but it doesn't look quite right for being a JEM.

Regards

André

Damn, felt through being not a JEM owner ( )....YET.

Wouldn't buy it either, you never know what it might be; with an original JEM you know what you buy (at least that's what I heard....from you guys :P )

Yeah would be quite cool to be playing at jemfest with a VWH. Do a quick offstage swap, and smash it to pieces, getting to watch the audience's face. Then walk out with your VWH.

If i could get it for less than a hundred it would be a cool player to have around that is, if it plays half way decent. Your likely going to have to replace the floyd within a few months. That looks like the cheapest metal ive ever seen, even from a distance. I would be worried about the trem post as well. But it does look cool, just cheap as hell. But its probably alot higher quality than a harmony strat
