Okay guys......Jeremy came up with JEM777MVBL (maple blue vine). I think it has a nice ring to it. I know that we need to put "Custom" in front of it so as not to offend the purists. This started out as an RG550 that was used as a 777DY project. I bought it off a fellow Jemster and decided to let Jeremy cut it all up and paint it again and I am floored at how awesome it is looking.

Beautiful work! What is the inlay material?
I agree - this is what the VSBL should have been.

Damn, Jeremy's Jem-ery just gets better and better.

That is one hell of an inlay, man, and the colour is too beautiful for words! Is it going to stay with the mirror pickguard, or is that just for demonstration purposes?

PS: I'm just so jealous! That colour is perfect!

A blue pearloid pickguard and blue pickups would look sweet on that. White pickups might also look good against a blue 'guard. White pickups on a white pearloid pickguard would be my third choice. I don't really care much for mirrored 'guards.

I know ya don't like mirror guard darren, but this one is keeping the mirror guard along with all chrome hardware, Jim is leaning towards pink pickups, but I think the pickup combo should go

Blue
Cream
Blue
Cream
Blue
(thanks to Kevan for that idea)

Better yet (toppers would need to be used for this)

Blue
Chrome
Blue
Chrome
Blue

The inlay material is synthetic shell in Paua Blue and red abalone. The synthetic stuff looks great!!!

Beautiful as always
The blue/chrome or blue/cream pickup combos looks good in my mind so please keep Jim away from the pink ones.

I'm checking with Jeremy to see about the possibliities of painting the pink pafs I already have.........who knows, he may be able to save this part of the project. The blue would look good against that pick guard I think, and the blue/cream combo would be dreamy.

Whoa, that was a 550? It won't even resemble a 550 when it's done. Nice work, man! Looks like you moved the output jack to where it is on the JEMs. What did you do with the original hole?
