S2120 or Jem7D

I have the opportunity to get either an Ibanez S2120 or Jem 7DBK. The Jem will cost about $200 more. I'm not sure which one to get!! This is quite urgent so any input will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I 've looked around and can't find the Jem for less than $899, where can you get it for less?

But which of these guitars are better, in your opinion? Which would you get?

Never touched a 2120... I have a DBK. You can find them on ebay dirt cheap, usually around $700, sometimes less. I paid $925 for mine brand new off ebay, not that I'm promoting them or anything. Just a thought : )

Jem 7DBK

I got a brand new 7DBK from Guitar Center a few weeks ago for $699.00 out the door....plastic still on it. They are going for an insanely low price right now, I may pick up a second one. No need in going to eBay for a used one, go to Guitar Center and pick one up

apples and oranges in every way. Two totally unique instruments and tones. The s2120 is more classy looking in my opinion. I believe the 2120 may be a little more versatile for different styles of music. it also has piezos which increases its versatility by 10 times. Its just a matter of taste. The stock pickups on the 2120 are also really nice and you may not want to change them. I'd save the 200 and go for the 2120 but thats just me.

I have the 2120 and it has become my main axe. It sounds great (original owner put a seymour duncan TB-5 in the bridge and gave me the original pup) and it looks astonishing! I do want a DBK very badly but as it was stated before- you can get them new and used dirt cheap now and they seem like they will be around awhile and will only get better (ie-new edge)! I know Rich and some others are offering untouched ones with cases for reasonable prices as well as unsurpassed customer service! You will do great with either one! Enjoy!
