My apologies for such a crappy pic. The fuzziness.. and the colors are not represented worth a crap. I Was unsuccessful on my day off, in finding my other album that has the better pics.
It’s extremely difficult hearing just how badly my much younger self mutilated that guitar. I don’t remember a lot from that process. Another fact being, our memories of something.. are always much more glamorous, than how it really was.
Maybe a little PTSD .. or just being that it was so damn long ago.
Maybe I don’t remember this either but.. I’m very surprised I didn’t get severely slandered in emails after rich received the jem in that condition.. seeing it in person. I completely sympathize with the detest. Uhg. I want to go back and kick my own ass. My apologies to rich if it was in worse shape than depicted when doing the sale on eBay. Obviously I don’t remember what actually took place. And don’t even remember what I actually sold it for and if that was fair at the time.
Again I’m very very surprised I received response and he still owns it and hadn’t just parted it out! To keep something like that for 20+ years, when it didn’t hold any sentimental value like it does for me.
I will post other pics once I can find them.

Re: Searching..??!? Thank you

The plan was to have Darren turn it into a great PMC which would have been in new condition, although a reswirl, there are a few reswirls around. The problem with plans is you have to finish them. I probably should have just parted it out

Maybe you could sell it back at a fair price as is and never have to worry about it again, if either of you would be interested in that.

We've exchanged PM's.

Anybody care to say what a fair price is these days for a mint PMC neck alone?

Cool. I have no idea what any of its worth, I'm sure it's a lot. I was just thinking his old guitar with the old neck. Hopefully you guys can come to a reasonable agreement/solution.

I like the idea of a restoration. Saving something rare has considerable value and the opportunity does not come along often.

What is a fair price of a PMC these days to start with? $4-6000? Latest reverb listing I saw went for 5. Maybe $1500-2500 for the neck then? I guess it's up to you guys to figure it out

One "mint" one just sold closer to $8000, never saw good pictures but a good swirl PMC is hard to find, and then find it in the right condition also. Great ones are very few like most of the early swirls.

Re: Searching..??!? Thank you

There was one on Reverb six months ago that sold for $10K within a day or two. Blew my mind.
