Selling some of my Jem collection.

Well, unfortunately I am forced to sell my favorite Jems do to moving. We'll be selling our house and need the extra money to remodel it. I'm very disappointed but my family means alot to me. I'll be left with only one Jem(7vwh). I'll be selling my Jem 10th Anniversary and a Jem77FP. Jem10 is something special to me, but I never had enough guts to play it because it's too valuable to me. It's just drop dead GORGEOUS! It was signed by Steve Vai in 1996 on the headstock. Best sounding and playing Jem I ever had! My FP is my favorite out the bunch cause it's my dream guitar, when I first saw this baby I fell in love! It was a joy having them in my possession but very soon they will be going to the evilbay. But before that I wanted to post it here for sale and I"m clueless on how to price my Jem's. Both Jems are in excellent condition. I need some help from you guys on how to price them, so please be reasonable. I'll try to post some pics for you guys to see. Thanks for your time and help.

This brought a tear to me eye. Wow I couldn't even imagine having to sell those beauts. My Jems are my family, lol! Nice FP and the 10th is just STUNNING~! (they've always been my favorite Jem) Ironically it's one of the few I dont have. Go figure

He said be reasonable ya dork

I'd say you could get between $ 1,500 and $ 1,700 for the FP these days. I'm not exactly sure on the 10th as the value of them seems to be some kind of ~dark secret~ these days

I'll do some checking for ya! And sorry man.....I really feel for ya!

Re: Selling some of my Jem collection.

Gorgeous guitars, and great pics. The last perfect 10th I saw on the bay went for $4600, as I recall. I'm guessing about $1500 for the FP. Keep 'em if you can. I understand you wanting to keep the 7VWH, but 10ths and FPs are getting harder and harder to come by.

Re: Selling some of my Jem collection.

Do not sell them. Because if trouble rears its ugly head again in the future, the family's goin' to look to you to sell more stuff.

Re: Selling some of my Jem collection.

Here's the 10th's Ann. case and the Certificate of Authenticity. Plus I still have the old tickets to Vai's show where it was autographed.

Re: Selling some of my Jem collection.

The 10th Id say at 3k the FP at $1800 as a starting price. Ive seen some overpriced 10ths on the bay lately some even asking for up to 8k
