Serial Number question JS1CR

I received a 2019 Chrome Boy today and it has two different Serial Numbers. The headstock and accompanying paperwork show one serial number and the neck plate has a different one. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for any help!

James

The headstock + paperwork are the serial, neck plates are random afaik.

And congrats on a sweet axe!

Re: Serial Number question JS1CR

the neck plates or J plates started at 1 with the first JS 1 and continue on, so whatever number you have that many JS guitars have been made at the time your guitar was produced, the one after it will be one higher and so on

Wow man, I envy you! How's the chrome finish in person? And how's the tone?! It has that sustainiac in it right?

Re: Serial Number question JS1CR

So, if mine starts with a 0 on the neck plate, how does that fall in the sequence?

Thanks!

Re: Serial Number question JS1CR

They are six digit numbers if I am correct so it was 000001 in the beginning. I don't know what numbers they are up to now but it could very well be 065345 or whatever, meaning there's 65,000 JSs made since the beginning. I don't have any of my JSs handy to check at the moment.
