Should i have a pickguard on my UV??

Guys and gals!!!!

This thread is more of a opinion poll to gauge what people would do if they were in the same shoes as i am now! So any input from y'all would be greatly appreciated!!!

Ok, im at the beginings of getting a custom Universe built with a theme(wont go into it yet)!!!

Body will be a trans black quilted top. Should i put a pickguard on it? ...or have the pick-ups direct mounted without the pickguard?? Pups will be H/S/H just like a UV....have a tone and vol knobs and 5 way switch....again, just like a UV!!!!

Do i hide the beauty of the quilted top or not have a pickguard at all!!! ...or chose one of the other options!!!

Let us know what YOU would do!!!

Cheers and beers to all!

If you're going with a quilted top, then forget about the pickguard.

Go with clear if you have a figured top.
