My insurer will also replace the guitar for the stated value.

When it's not uncommon over here to see JS10s and JEM10s advertised for 3000-4000 it makes sense to ensure you're insured

yeah. get a free replacement neck off ibanez, and then get a second hand jem of your choice.

if you're careful you may even be able to get 2 or 3, which would be nice.

You can't get a "free" replacement neck, you have to send your broken neck and you PAY full retail for a new neck. Only way you get a free neck is on warranty.

As for models, your choices on new ones are pretty limited, VWH, VSBL, and DBK, however, the floral print might be a nice choice now as well. Personally, I'd go with a VWH, or perhaps a full CUSTOM

how do you mean tried and tested? they've all been tried and tested by people on this board.

try going to the photo gallery on this site, and see which ones you like the look of most.

Any idea on what the "full retail" price would be?
