If you read the auction it sounds like the body got destroyed somehow.

well, yeah, but if it did, how did the pickguard, bridge, and pickups all escape unharmed? and even if the body was damaged, what made it unplayable? A good luthor could repair damaged binding and huge chips etc..

I don't think the owner would part it out if he thought he could save the axe. The guy seems REALLY upset about it, so if you know who can fix his JEM let him know in the next few days!

i wonder if it's the board member that tried to repair is jem 10th body and didn't have any luck with it so he is selling the parts now.

A shame really the JEM10th is such a nice axe.

I did not find any threads about this. Its repairable depending on the exact problems. Like I said, I just can't imagine something so bad that didn't cause any other damage to the guitar besides the body.

if its just a finish issue, there are luthors out there that can fix it. at a fair price though.

or just replace the body? custom shop maybe? i know ibanez used to replace necks if you sent the wrecked one, what about a body? especially on a 10th

No, ibanez will not make another body. Especially one as special as this one.

it could have had a whack that knocked one of it's horns off in a dirty,splintered break ? That'd just about kill it.

yes, but something of that force would have snapped the neck as well as damaging the pickgaurd. and even then I doubt the horn would snap, I had a Marshall Head fall on my 550 right on the horn and all it did was snap the neck and leave a big ding.
