I'm so lusting after a Jem 10th (this week - next week it'll be a GMC probably). It breaks my heart to see a guitar that luscious with paint scrapes and stuff. But if I had one I'd wail the bejabbers out of it.

Yeah, after i'm done with it. (-:

First i will take off the neck, sand the back and clean the fretboard. Then i will put back the trem, so at least i can play again.

I'm looking for a small connector to disconnect the entire pickguard from the body so i can keep her 'playable' while i can do some repairing on the pickguard. I guess painting the pickguard and the wood black is next on my list.

But damn those PU's annoy me. )-:

Uh... kinda. I meant the grooves in the pickguard. They're hardly grey, and if they're pitch black i think the entire guitar will look a lot better.

I went to a guy who could tell me everything about alumin, he said i should forget about getting the scratches out, but i could get some alumin paint, rub it in the grooves and whipe of the residu, leaving the paint in the grooves only.

He also told me never to clean the pickguard with anything else but special alumin cleaning stuff. He said it was coated... i never knew that, and now i'm doubting if i ever cleaned the pickguard of my other 10 with benzin or anything.

May we humbley ask, what price youve paid for this one?

Just curious, but the twanger b4 U must have some wild tunes with that one (or too much beer :P )

I won't mind, but i feel Rich has a vote in this too. Rich?

Also, Rich, spoken about humbly asked questions - and i know it's not done, so feel free to ignore - but would you tell us you maximum bid? And what you would have bid if you knew the case was not original?

I'll take 10 in that condition for $1500.

I'm not sure what my max was, I was lowballing it because I really couldn't understand the add, the translation didn't make much clear

I paid 1780 for it, but i paid Rich a little, because he was the winner of the auction. Also i had to drive to Germany to get it, which costs a few Euro's, but i had a great time.

Perhaps i overpaid, but it was exactly what i needed, and i'm really happy with it!! Besides, the guitar just HAD to switch owners. 10's seem to have a little will of their own every now and then. (-:

I lowballed, but leave no doubt you would have paid more than you did this way if you had outbid me
