What is a good way to remove surface rust from the screws on your

You could soak them in something like WD40 then use a wire brush on em', then stick them in a piece of cardboard and give them a shot of black paint. Or, you could just replace them with new ones

Any particular paint you suggest using. I read somewhere in a post
the trem bars and some other pieces wouldn't take the paint very well.
I have a project Ibanez I want to paint all the hardware white.
And another guitar just needs some TLC.
thanks

Forget the paint and get it all powdercoated.

Wouldn't stainless steel screws be another method? Cheap too!
